There are pathways in our brain that are built from life experience. When we live through traumatic moments, these pathways are used to store memories and trap emotions leading to all sorts of psychological distress and suffering. We feel damaged somehow and find ways to cope with the pain or we look for an exit. The truth is, your brain has not been damaged and neither have you - it’s the stories conjured up by fear that are doing the damage.
